FAQ
Straight answers before you hand over a house key.
These questions come from the families who call us. If yours is missing, email info@ambassadorscare.com.
How long have you been in business?
Ambassadors was founded in 2003 during a nursing shortage. Private-duty caregivers gave families extra help while a parent was hospitalized, then grew into full in-home support.
Where is the office, and how far do you travel?
The office is at 2118 Oakdale Street, Houston, TX 77004 — just outside the Texas Medical Center in the Museum District. We serve about an 80-mile radius and will provide care anywhere a client calls home, including hotels and extended-stay suites.
How flexible are your schedules?
We can staff on short notice. More notice still helps us keep the same caregiver and a consistent match.
Do you drug-screen and TB-test caregivers?
Yes. Caregivers complete testing, background checks, a skills check, and must keep a current TB skin test to remain employed.
Are caregivers employees or contractors?
Employees of the company — not 1099 contractors.
Are caregivers insured and bonded?
Yes. Ambassadors is insured, bonded, and licensed by the State of Texas.
Do you follow HIPAA?
Yes. Privacy laws govern how we handle personal and health information.
What does care cost?
Plans are customized, so rates depend on hours, shift type, and the skills required. Call (713) 521-2221 for a straightforward quote. We can discuss insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, and hospice coordination case by case.
Can you help after a hospital stay or during hospice?
Yes. Private-duty support during hospitalization, recovery at home, and alongside hospice teams is a core part of the work.
What if I live in another city?
Check-in care is built for families who cannot be on site every day. We visit, watch for changes, and report back.
